There are three groups of learners with: Roman-alphabetic /French, German or Spanish/, Non-Roman alphabetic /Arabic, Greek, Korean, Russian or Thai/ and Non-alphabetic /Chinese or Japanese/ backgrounds. According to this my Teaching Approach is specified in using different methods: * The Audio-Lingual Method; * The Silent Way; * Total Physical Response; * Suggestopedia. These are methods which improve learner's phonemic awareness, phonological processing skills and text comprehension ability. It sounds a bit complicated, but the learner should not worry about this. What I need from him/her is TO BE EAGER TO LEARN the foreign language.
