Hello.My name is Trinidad, I am a woman and I was born in Madrid (Spain).I´ve got an MA degree in Spanish and English Language.I have been teaching Spanish Language and Literature, Latin and English for 30 years in a private school, all levels (11 to 20 year-old students). I enjoy teaching, the magic world of words and writing.I love writing, especially poetry, and I have won a third prize in Féile Filíochta- International Poetry Competition with a poem in Spanish.I also became finalist in Fernando Rielo International Prize for Mystical Poetry. My teaching method is simple and effective: - I love and respect my pupils. - I always encourage them. - I teach them these four skills: 1)Comprehensive reading. 2)Creative writing. 3)Grammar. 4)Speech. The best way to learn a language is listening to a native speaker, same as children do: imitating sounds and accent at first and then improving the pronunctiation and the style to develop /achieve fluency. First, my pupils learn to understand Spanish.Then, they learn how to speak and be understood in Spanish.A pupil learns more when reading and listening to something he is interested in, so I always take into account his preferences and his goals so that he can enjoy my classes. My method is adaptable for I think it´s better for a teacher to be a good psychologist than a book of knowledge.A deep and broad command of Spanish language is necessary, of course, but a teacher needs to know his pupils well first. My method is based in love, respect, patience and encouragement.(Sorry for writing so much about me). :-)
