My name is Dem Demetria, 41 years old, married, with three lovely children. I reside in the Philippines where English is the most widely spoken language, second only to, of course, Filipino. I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration after which I took some units in law but, unfortunately, wasn't able to finish my graduate studies due to time constraints with work and the need to be with my family. I've been a public servant (working with the Department of Finance), a resort hotel manager (honing my interpersonal, intrapersonal and most important of all, my communication skills), a technical support/ customer service representative (commonly known, in the Philippines, at least, as a call-center agent) and a marketing manager for a real estate firm. My teaching method involves going back to the basics - proper punctuation, gender usage, tenses, to name a few... - and focus on sentence formulation. I know that media (including a lot of teaching materials, the internet, songs, etc...) has diluted the English language, thus, a thorough approach should be applied.
