After more than 15 years of teaching I found out that I had best decide on method and material to use only after I have made contact with the student. Every student is different and they have different needs and interests. I like to decide with the student if they would like to use a textbook, online material, like news articles, or something completely different, or just want to chat with someone and learn at the same time. I have a wide range of interests and usually find most topics interesting to talk about. My wish is that the student feels comfortable and relaxed - and really enjoys the lesson, even if I may have to do a lot of corrections. I love teaching and want others to share in the fun of being able to communicate in another language. For test preparation I offer courses concentrating on just one or two skills as well as courses for all skills.
