I am a lawyer from California, but am no longer practicing. I have been teaching for 8 years now, and my clients range from absolute beginners to students wanting to master business English in a number of fields. I can help you with all aspects of the English language. Much of my business English class focuses on specific ideas or projects from the student, such as writing a resume and cover letter, making a proposal, or writing a complaint letter or responding to customer complaints. I try to go beyond vocabulary and help the students speak and write in polished, professional language. My beginner and intermediate students often work from readings that I choose on topics the students give me. In this way, I know the material is on a subject the student likes, and is at an appropriate level. Unless the student is studying for an exam or specifically requests it, I do not emphasize grammar. Instead, I provide lots of examples of English in use.
