"Languages without borders" - A project of the Goethe-Institut in 2008 and 2009Intercultural dialogue is only possible in a multilingual world. ? Plurilingualism is "child's play" and multilingualism "highly exciting".For more than 50 years the Goethe-Institut has been acting as a conveyor of language and culture throughout the world. Together with a number of partners it is now initiating the international project "Languages Without Borders" as the focus of a two-year programme. This identifies the added value of multilingualism for politics, science and industry, as well as for society and individual development.
