He obtained the Cambridge Certificate in English Proficiency (CPE), University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and issued an international certification for teachers of English, University of Cambridge, England, the In-Service Certificate in English Language Teaching, also known as ICELT of British Council in Mexico. With an extensive teaching career, Master Avendaño García served as a professor teaching at degree level for eight years and at the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Campus Ciudad de Mexico (ITESM, CCM), where he taught various subjects in English and in Spanish in the areas of humanities, science policy and international relations. He was also professor of the Center for Languages of the ITESM, CCM provided where the area of English for International Relations and English courses for adult basic and intermediate. Has worked since August 2005 with immigration and education agencies for Australia and New Zealand in the preparation of their clients and students to submit the IELTS.
